Senedd autumn term: 20mph review, housing numbers, NHS winter plan

Three items have dates before Christmas. The 20mph vote is the one that could return 30mph on A-roads through towns.

The Senedd and Pierhead on Cardiff Bay

The autumn timetable is out. Three items have dates, not slogans: housing-target regulations on 24 September, the NHS winter plan on 8 October, and a vote on whether the 20mph review reports before half-term. That last one decides if 30mph comes back on the A-road through town. It is not a repeal of the default.

The housing numbers are the ones that hit Newport and Monmouthshire on Wednesday. The winter plan is the document that tells health boards which operations pause in January. Everything else — visitor levy, coal-tip bill — sits in committee until 2027.

Business Committee timetable, 27 August 2026. Housing shares as previously reported.
